You can’t stop the waves but you can learn how to surf

Whether you have a mindfulness practice, or just want to try it, come and join our sitting group. If you have done a course, this is a good way to help you maintain a regular practice and learn a bit more about mindfulness. Finding a group that have a common interest is a good way of keeping enthusiasm. If you know nothing about mindfulness or meditation, then this is a good way of dipping your toe. The meditations are guided and very easy to follow, and the discussions are not theoretical. There is no commitment. Try it once, come occasionally, or come regularly. Each evening we will have two meditation sessions, drawn from the mindfulness meditations in MBSR and MBCT, some gentle mindful movement, occasionally some discussion about practice, and sometimes a topic about mindfulness. The intention is to provide people with a regular space to meet others with an interest in mindfulness, and an opportunity to meditate together. There is no fixed charge, just a suggested donation of £5 or £3 for concessions, but only contribute what you can afford. Pay on the night, or you can pay in advance here.
